About Eric Richardson
Eric Richardson served as a hitting coach for several of the Philadelphia Phillies minor league affiliates. During 2004-2006, he coached and worked with some of the best in baseball, including Ryan Howard (05 MVP; 04 Rookie of the Year); Charlie Manuel (Major League Mgr); and Mike Schmidt (Hall of Famer, mentor). In the fall of 2004, Richardson was selected as bench coach for the Phoenix Desert Dogs and helped lead the team to capture the 2004 Arizona Fall League Championship Title.
Richardson started his professional baseball career when he was drafted by the Chicago White Sox in 1991 (5th round). His 1991-1995 professional ball player career included stops within the White Sox minor league affiliates in Sarasota, FL; South Bend, ID; Prince William, VA; and Hickory, NC. He was named Golden Glove-Defensive Player of the Year in 1993.
