Doug Radziewicz

Doug Radziewicz has more than 25 years of experience as a player and coach at the professional, collegiate and high school levels.

Drafted in 1991 by the St. Louis Cardinals, Radziewicz finished 7th in the Appalachian League in batting during his first year of professional ball. The highlight of his pro career came in 1993 when he won the Florida State League Batting Title, posting a .342 average. He also led the league in on-base percentage (.436).

Prior to his professional career, Radziewicz played at The University of Georgia, where he was a 4-year starter. In 1990, the Bulldogs won the National Championship at The College World Series in Omaha, Nebraska.

In addition, Radziewicz was named the CWS All-Tournament Team 1st Baseman after hitting .333 during the series.

By the end of his career, he owned 6 school records including career marks in hits, at-bats, runs scored, doubles and games played as well as the season record for doubles. He also ranked in the Top 10 in 6 additional season/career statistics.

After retiring from pro ball, Radziewicz coached three years at Franklin High School in New Jersey and served as the hitting coach for the Somerset Patriots of the Atlantic League (independent).

In 2000, he was named Head Coach at FDU-Madison, a Division-III University, where he compiled a 120-60-1 record over 5 seasons. His 2001 team set a school record for wins with 31 (31-9). Following the season, Radziewicz was named the New Jersey Division II-III Coach of the Year. He also spent a year as an assistant coach at Western Illinois University. Since 1994, Radziewicz has been teaching the game of baseball through individual instruction, group lessons and camps and has also lectured at various coaching clinics.
